About

About the Brand-

Homeland Elegies is an exploration and an enquiry into the questions of identity, otherness, the idea of home and belongingness.

We’re particularly fascinated about exploring the notions of masculinity and how male beauty has evolved or changed by looking back at indigenous cultures from India and around the world where men have been more expressive, playful and sensual. Our products are an ode to the tribal people and their lively, sensuous and joyous way of fully celebrating life.

We envision an indigenous ideal of a world that calls for a transition away from an overtly extractive economy to a regenerative living economy that stresses on balance and sustainability. We believe in diversity, there is beauty and there is strength.

Through our study and ruminations, we attempt to seek a deeper and more meaningful connection with our roots and heritage. And we attempt to create work that is respectful of the past, yet is modern and evolved  and open  to interpretations.
